Welcome to Trinity Community Church, kids!
Trinity Community Church's children's ministry exists to teach kids the way of Jesus. We believe that God has shown himself throughout history and is working now to fulfill his purposes for His creation. The Bible tells the story of God’s work in the world. Each week, we gather to explore a part of this story and invite our children to enter into it. Our program is provided for newborns through fifth grade and meets on Sundays during the 10am service.
Babies (newborns + toddlers)
With the babies, our goal is simple—that your child will start learning and understanding that God loves them. Through the care of loving and committed volunteers, as well as activities, our children enjoy a safe and joyful environment. These early encounters let each child know they are loved and begin to build a foundation for a relationship with God. the Nursery and toddler's classes are the only classes available throughout the entirety of our service.
Preschool class (ages 3-5)
Preschool provides meaningful connections where kids discover that they belong to God, Jesus loves them, and the Gospel applies to each area of life! Each week in Preschool, trained teachers & helpers lead our 3-5-year-olds in a Bible teaching, Catechism questions with a key concept that ties the morning together including activities, crafts and a snack.
Elementary class (1st - 5th grades)
Each Sunday our Elementary class, (1st through 5th grade) children connect with a teacher who loves to share the gospel, and other children their age to worship God in prayer, hear a teaching from the Bible, discuss its application, and enjoy activities that relate to the lesson. In these teaching environments, kids learn that their identity is in Christ, they have a belonging in the church, and they have a role to play in God's mission.
6th-12th grades (once a month) class
Usually the 1st Sunday of every month, the 6th graders and above are invited to attend an older class from 10:30am-11:30am on Sunday. Kricket Moros introduces a new missionary, discussing their life, learning their stories and helping the youth understand how others have brought Christ to other cultures and countries. We want to help our children grow in learning how to share the gospel of Christ!
When do children's classes start?
Trinity's children's classes meet during the Sunday service. Specifically, from 10am - 12pm. The Narnia room is open for babies and toddlers before our time of worship begins at 10am. At the break, between our time of worship in music and the preaching of God's Word, you will have time to check your children into their preschool and elementary classes, which are located in the Lobby.
What does Trinity do to ensure the safety of my children?
To ensure the safety of every child, we implement check-in and check-out procedures, including a parent/child lanyard and clip system, that prevents any child from being removed from the classroom areas by any person other than the one who dropped off the child. Background screenings and interviews are also required for all staff and volunteers serving in Trinity's childcare.
Where are the kids rooms located?
Trinity's classrooms are located in the Lobby and North end of the building. They are all very easily accessible, as check in for the 3rd through 5th grade class still takes place in the lobby during the break. Indoor signs signal the entryways for Babies, Preschool, and Elementary, to help you know where to go once you’re in the building.
